Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator

Highgate Hotels Corporate Office TX is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure components and associated software and services, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Support and administer hosted infrastructure components and associated software and services, including file and print servers, application servers, database servers, and storage area networks.
  • Perform system maintenance activities for all on-premise and cloud infrastructure components, including daily operations and system back-up and recovery activities.
  • Implement directory service security and group policy to support various infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to support and deliver infrastructure and technical solutions in hosted and cloud environments.
  • Provide escalation support to users and executives as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10 years of progressive experience with LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Experience with 3rd party vendor interaction in hosted environments and familiarity with outsourced tier 1 support models.
  • Technical problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot and resolve system infrastructure issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to speak diplomatically and function as a team player.
  • Planning and organization skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate own workload within a multiple project setting.
  • Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity and evolving environment.
  • Demonstrate a strategic/global mindset by determining opportunities and threats through analysis of current and future trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of advanced support services for Microsoft related technologies, including Windows Server, Clustering, SQL, and SharePoint.
  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory user and computer policy configuration options.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of MS Operating Systems and RDS/Terminal Services.
  • Expert knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Class Storage systems, HPE Nimble/Alletra is preferred.
