Job Summary

The Facilities Associate is a vital member of the Christ Church team, responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our facilities across all campuses. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Facilities Team in ensuring that Church facilities and affiliate locations are well-maintained, adhering to project management guidelines and maintaining records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner, maintaining open communication with the Facilities Team.
  • Perform light janitorial work, including replacing light bulbs, vacuuming, garbage removal, disinfecting restrooms, and moving furniture.
  • Assist in performing light landscaping work, including trimming bushes, weed control, and leaf removal.
  • Setup and breakdown of rooms as needed for weekend services and special events.
  • Assist the Working Foreman in maintaining boilers, HVAC, alarm, and sprinkler systems, pumps, electrical wires, and other equipment.
  • Be available for 2-3 Sundays per month to ensure the facility remains clean, tidy, and operational for worship services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • One to two years' experience in maintenance and construction.
  • Possess a valid New Jersey State Driver's License with no moving violations.
  • Knowledge of standards tools, materials, methods, practices, occupational hazards, and safety precautions involved in performing general maintenance and repair work.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Ability to take safety precautions in performing the work.
  • A strong self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The Facilities Associate will work in a fast-paced environment, often lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing approximately 5-75 pounds, and for two people approximately 150 pounds.
