Outdoor Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Outdoor Facilities Manager to join our team at MaST Community Charter School. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the exterior of our buildings, grounds, and fields, ensuring a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the landscaping on school grounds, including cutting grass, aerating, mulching, and trimming hedges.
- Apply fertilizer, pesticides, herbicide, and soil amendment treatments under the supervision of a certified employee.
- Drag fields, stripe lines, and perform other tasks to maintain athletic fields and tracks at all locations.
- Identify and address hazards such as branches, uneven sidewalks, debris, and lighting outages.
- Inspect and maintain outdoor equipment, including playground structures, railings, and work equipment.
- Plan, develop, and execute the summer work schedule, including repairs, cleaning, and new projects.
- Coordinate and manage maintenance schedules, working with other personnel as needed.
- Perform concrete and asphalt repairs, maintain parking lot signage, and complete parking lot line painting projects.
- Maintain the exterior of buildings, including power washing, caulking, and painting.
- Clean and repair drain boxes, and assist with indoor facilities tasks as assigned.
- Clean up after events, and perform other tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to evaluate problems, prioritize work, and determine solutions.
- Physical ability to work from ladders and lifts, and to lift 80 lbs.
- Valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle license required.
- Knowledge of Google docs/sheets and email.
- Ability to use heavy equipment, including a skid steer, riding lawn mower, trimmer, jackhammer, gator, lifts, chainsaw, and truck with trailer.
- Basic service skills for equipment.
- Valid Pennsylvania school clearances required.
- Ability to travel between campuses as needed.
- Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in developing, evaluating, and revising school programs.
- Prepare reports on students and activities as required by the administration.
- Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Attend staff meetings, and have the opportunity to serve on committees.
- Adhere to Professional Standard of Conduct, including confidentiality, code of ethics, and appropriate internet use.
Twelve (12) months. Contract terms and salary to be determined by the Board of Trustees.
EvaluationThe performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of state law, administrative code, and the Board's policy on the evaluation for this position.
