MaST Community Charter School is seeking a dedicated Landscape and Facilities Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and enhancement of our outdoor environments across various campuses. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are safe, functional, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the exterior landscapes, including regular grass cutting, aeration, and trimming of hedges to uphold the aesthetic quality of school grounds.
  • Implement fertilization and pest control measures under the guidance of certified personnel.
  • Prepare athletic fields for practices and events by dragging, striping, and performing necessary maintenance.
  • Identify and rectify safety hazards on campus, ensuring a secure environment for students and staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of outdoor equipment, including playgrounds and other facilities.
  • Enhance the visual appeal of the grounds through planting and maintaining flowers and shrubs, while ensuring cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Facilities to develop and execute seasonal work plans, including repairs and new projects.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and collaborate with other facilities personnel as needed.
  • Perform necessary repairs on concrete and asphalt surfaces and maintain parking lot signage.
  • Ensure the upkeep of building exteriors through cleaning, painting, and maintenance tasks.
  • Assist the indoor facilities team with tasks as directed by the Head of Facilities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to assess problems, prioritize tasks, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to understand and follow work-related instructions.
  • Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 80 lbs and working from heights.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used in general maintenance.
  • Valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle license and school clearances.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Docs/Sheets and email communication.

  • Exhibit ethical conduct and maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and adaptability.
  • Represent the school positively and support its mission and vision.
