Dental Technician

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Dental Technician - Expanded Functions to join our team. As a key member of our dental team, you will assist in surgical and dental procedures, meeting the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
Key Responsibilities:
Places and removes dental rubber dams
Places and removes dental matrices and wedges
Applies cavity liners and bases
Places, condenses, carves and contours amalgam restorations
Places and finishes composite resin restorations
Places and finishes sealant material
Fabricates and cements temporary crowns; selects, contours and cements crown forms
Performs coronal polishing and applies fluoride and varnishes
Selects and cements orthodontic bands and brackets
Places temporary restorations
Assists during emergency situations
Takes impressions of teeth for study models, diagnostic casts, or athletic appliances

Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Certified Dental Assistant - Default Issuing Body, Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary Certification - Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary
Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
