Job Overview

Range Commercial Partners, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Chief Engineer to join our team in Columbus, OH. As a key member of our property management leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering departmental goals, objectives, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and perform all necessary general maintenance of assigned facilities, including minor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, grounds cleaning, and other general maintenance items as needed.
  • Assist property manager with development of property annual and capital budgets.
  • Maintain regular contact and build solid working relationships with Property Managers to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Assist Director of Engineering in implementing company initiatives and provide management and leadership for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop and maintain life safety, environmental, and emergency procedures and programs per local codes, ensuring compliance with local, federal, and state building, safety, and environment policies.
  • Support leasing efforts by helping with leasing plans, participating in property tours with prospective tenants, and reviewing tenant space drawings.
  • Ensure projects are well-defined and understood, develop effective project plans, and result in projects that meet cost, schedule, quality, functionality objectives, and compliance with business controls.
  • Determine and recommend capital projects, acquire bids, and evaluate service and pricing of all vendors.
  • Interface with clients and tenants, review and approve annual inventory of tools and equipment, and provide same to Property Manager.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractor's and subcontractor's activities, review maintenance contracts, and communicate all issues/concerns relating to assigned properties with Property Managers.
  • Ensure compliance with Energy Star, Sustainability Program, Preferred Provider Program, Quality Assurance Program, Disaster Program, and Customer Service/Tenant Retention Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Managing Director, Managing Director, Senior Director of Operations, or Director of Engineering.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.
  • High School Education and four or more years of experience supervising employees.
  • Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing, drywall, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents, solve problems involving several options in situations, and conduct basic financial analysis.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite and valid Driver's license.
