Job Summary

Brookdale Leawood State Line is seeking a skilled Certified Medication Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Medication Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, adhering to state regulations and company policies.
  • Provide direct care to residents, following individualized service plans and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in performing personnel tasks, understanding that responsibilities are not routine or limited to resident care matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care, including medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant completion and licensure preferred.
  • State-certified medication aide course completion required.
  • Experience in direct service with older adults preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English and understand written and oral instructions.
