About the Role:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Medical Support Team (MST) department at Mission Regional Medical Center is a vital member of our healthcare team. As a CNA, you will provide essential support to our patients, families, and healthcare staff, ensuring a safe and compassionate environment for all.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to promote patient comfort and dignity.
  • Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment by ensuring patient rooms are clean and organized, and by reporting any safety concerns to the Registered Nurse in charge.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
  • Possesses knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing skills.
  • Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
