Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our innovative electro-mechanical system, SectionStarTM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electro-mechanical systems and assemblies, including electrical and mechanical components
- Create detailed drawings for parts and assemblies using CAD software
- Build and assemble prototypes, ensuring they meet design specifications and performance criteria
- Assemble precision components and wire harnesses, and program automated functionalities
- Design and build test fixtures, including integrating data acquisition systems and programming for automated testing and data collection
- Perform dynamic system modeling, kinematic modeling, and conduct structural and thermal analysis to validate and optimize design components
- Conduct testing of electro-mechanical systems, identify issues, and assist in troubleshooting and debugging
- Analyze test data and provide insights to improve system performance and reliability
- Assist in creating technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanical design principles, and control systems
- Basic understanding of electronic components, sensors, and actuators
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design and modeling
- Experience with 3D printing and other additive manufacturing techniques for creating prototypes and parts
- Proficient in CNC machining, sheet-metal fabrication, and other manufacturing techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to project goals
