About the Role

The AV Technical Site Manager is a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing all on-site audio/visual activities during installation, integration, and maintenance projects. This role involves managing a team of technicians, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage on-site AV installation and integration projects from start to finish, developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion of all phases.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and support a team of AV technicians, providing guidance and technical expertise as needed, and assign tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
  • Technical Oversight: Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of AV systems, including sound, video, lighting, and control systems, ensuring all equipment is installed according to specifications and industry standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure the highest standards of workmanship, and prepare and submit project documentation, including progress reports, punch lists, and as-built drawings.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during on-site work, addressing client concerns and requests promptly, and providing post-installation support and training as required.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations, and conduct safety briefings and inspections to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Logistics Coordination: Manage the delivery and storage of AV equipment and materials on-site.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Audio/Visual Technology, Engineering) preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in AV installation and integration, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, Crestron, Extron) are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AV system design, installation, and troubleshooting, including familiarity with AV control systems, networking, and digital signal processing (DSP).
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong track record of on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions.
  • Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Work Environment:

  • This position involves working on-site at various client locations, which may include construction sites, corporate offices, educational institutions, and event venues.
  • Occasional travel and overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
