Job Title: Shuttle Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and courteous Shuttle Driver to join our Transportation team at Colgate University. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers around campus and the Village of Hamilton.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a shuttle, bus, or van to transport passengers safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all University policies and procedures while operating vehicles.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with passengers.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and all necessary certifications and endorsements.

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL C, B, or A license with Passenger endorsement.
  • Meet 19-A qualifications.
  • Pass a DOT physical examination.
  • Three years of driving experience and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education and certifications relevant to the position.
  • Experience working in a similar role.
