Job Title: Property Manager I

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a highly skilled Property Manager I to join our team. As a Property Manager I, you will be responsible for the daily operations of our property, including maintaining the asset, supervising staff, building maintenance, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and discipline staff
  • Maintain office files for all business and financial records
  • Forecast future expenditures to prepare budget and stay within budget
  • Supervise the property office to ensure all bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations are performed according to program requirements and Volunteers of America's policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Service Coordinators to enhance resident quality of life
  • Market the property in accordance with Fair Housing regulations and management agent guidelines
  • Inspect property to ensure building and grounds are properly maintained
  • Submit reports as required by the management agent, owner, or as mandated by the Federal, State, or local government
  • Respond to all resident requests and complaints
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years property management experience
  • Two years of apartment management experience
  • Basic math aptitude
  • Knowledge of computer operations, including databases and spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with residents and employees
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications (COS, ARM, CAM, RAM)
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and state landlord rights and obligations
  • Knowledge of the HUD 202, Section 8, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit programs
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Some travel may be required
  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time

Salary Range:

$57,179.20/yr. - $61,360.00/yr.
