We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Judicial Clerk I to join our team at the Colorado Judicial Branch. As a Judicial Clerk I, you will provide entry-level case processing assistance and customer service to the public, ensuring that all interactions are professional and courteous.
Key Responsibilities- Assist customers with paperwork, answer questions, and review court forms for completeness.
- Receive and process incoming correspondence via email, mail, and in-person filings and distribution.
- Direct customers to appropriate services, such as legal clinics, self-help information, and specialists.
- Maintain case documentation, including updating contact information, processing bond forfeitures, and entering transcript requests.
- Transfer information from law enforcement tickets or information filed into the case management system.
- Manage scheduling for time-sensitive cases, such as cases requesting protection orders or other emergency matters.
- Accept and process payments via cash, check, and credit card for court fines, fees, filing fees, and bonds.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and voice mail, and act as a liaison between division/Judicial Officer and customers.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- No licenses or certifications required.
This is a sedentary role that involves sitting most of the time. The work environment is relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.
