Position Title: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT)
Location: Danville, IL
Contract Duration: Full academic year
Work Schedule: 35 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and assistance to students experiencing hearing loss.
- Engage in collaboration with parents and educational staff to enhance student achievement.
- Design, execute, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
- Employ various sign language systems to facilitate effective communication and teaching.
- Evaluate and track student progress, modifying teaching strategies as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Illinois Professional Educator License.
- Endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
