Christie Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Mammographer to join our Radiology team. As a Mammographer, you will be responsible for performing and demonstrating proficiency at techniques, principles and procedures involving breast imaging.


The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited Radiology Technologist program and current registration in Mammography through the ARRT. They will also have demonstrated clinical experience performing Mammograms and be current with the number of Mammography images to fulfill the Illinois Emergency Management Associate requirements.


Key responsibilities of the Mammographer will include:

  • Greeting patients with eye contact, introducing yourself, and verifying correct patient by using proper patient identifiers.
  • Verifying correct ordering provider and exam.
  • Explaining exam and educating patients on procedure.
  • Performing mammography exams including 3D, additional views such as coned-compression, magnification and from-below images.
  • Assisting the Radiologist in special exams such as core biopsy and cyst aspirations.
  • Protocol upcoming schedules; evaluate the history, ordering provider and previous Mammograms. Document information in Epic.


The Mammographer will work in an outpatient environment and will be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, stretch and lift up to 50 pounds. They will also be required to have hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment.
