Your Role: Deliver the expertise, compassion, and assistance necessary for our Residents' health and well-being. This role reports directly to the Director of Resident Services and is eligible for overtime compensation.

Key Duties:

  • Understand and adhere to medical protocols and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies involving Residents, visitors, or staff, assessing and treating medical or fire situations as needed.
  • Identify Residents needing additional support and engage in follow-up discussions with tailored recommendations.
  • Conduct welfare checks on Residents who have not responded to alerts.
  • Provide guidance to Residents on health-related matters.
  • Assist Residents in scheduling medical appointments and arranging transportation as required.
  • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration upon request.
  • Visit Residents in their living spaces when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of triage logs and incident reports.
  • Perform welfare checks as directed by the Director of Resident Services.
  • Monitor and manage oxygen supplies, alerting the Director when levels are low.
  • Oversee the inventory of medical supplies and restock as needed.
  • Update and maintain Residents' medical profiles as required.
  • Check on the status of discharged Residents within 24 hours of their return.
  • Communicate with healthcare facilities regarding Residents' conditions and report findings to the Director.
  • Welcome all Residents and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Maintain a neat appearance and adhere to the department's dress code.
  • Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and participate in drills.
  • Assist at the Customer Service desk as needed.
  • Report any irregularities or maintenance needs observed during your duties.
  • Manage resources responsibly and adhere to the attendance policy.
  • Prioritize team success and collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • Embody the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture, ensuring exceptional service for all.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Arizona is required.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is necessary.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing stairs and lifting heavy objects.
