Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of licensed providers, you will assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients, adhering to established methods and procedures.
  • You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • As a Psychiatric Technician I, you will be responsible for monitoring patient behavior, reporting observations, and providing support to patients and families.
  • You will also be expected to maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in health or mental health care is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A certificate in mental health technology or a related field is preferred.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • Completion of a patient/visitor deescalation and restraint program certification is also required.
Key Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and observation skills are essential for this role.
  • You must be able to remain calm and think critically in high-stress situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills is required.
