This position requires strong problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the operation and maintenance of plant equipment, troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, and perform repairs and installations of electrical components.
- Electrical Systems Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs, replacements, and modifications of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components on existing manufacturing equipment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner with production, engineering, and automation teams to detect deficiencies in operation and aid in corrective action for improved machine performance and safety of personnel and equipment.
- Electrical and Automation Improvement: Assist in electrical and automation improvement efforts throughout the plant, including check-out, start-up, and commissioning support of new equipment.
- Predictive and Preventative Maintenance: Complete predictive and preventative maintenance, changeover, set-up, and adjustments on processing and packaging equipment.
- Operator Support: Communicate the correct operation of machinery and assist operators and quality technicians to diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify production-based challenges.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete logs and communicate with supervisors, managers, and operators on work performed.
- Physical Demands: Stand and walk up to 8 hours, lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs, push/pull more than 1,000 lbs using a pallet jack, and perform other physical demands as required.
- Qualifications: Must possess a Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license, Plant Journeyman (PJ) General Journeyman (J), or higher.
- Experience: Proven track record performing electrical maintenance/installations in adherence with NFPA 70 and 70E.
- Skills: Experience working with VFDs, PLCs, and manipulating parameters and machine functions via operator HMI's, ability to utilize and interpret blueprints, schematics, ladder diagrams, and engineering specifications, and other relevant skills.
