Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team in the Green Bay/Lena, Wisconsin area.
Job Summary:
The Wastewater Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring compliance with site indirect discharge permits, and performing lab analysis of process samples. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical ability, general lab analysis experience, and a willingness to obtain a Wastewater License within 24 months of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment and processes at the WWTP, including anaerobic reactors, aerobic reactors, DAFs, chemical feed systems, wastewater pumps, blowers, and gas flare.
- Sample and analyze process and effluent samples to determine compliance and treatment efficiencies.
- Evaluate sample data to make process changes and improve treatment efficiency.
- Ensure the cleanliness of equipment, plant, office, and lab.
- Detect and report operational or treatment issues to the Lead Wastewater Operator.
Requirements:
- Prefer 5+ years of previous wastewater operations experience.
- Strong mechanical ability and aptitude.
- General lab analysis experience - preferred.
- Work to obtain a Wastewater License within 24 months of employment.
- Experience operating a biological wastewater treatment system - preferred.
- Operational experience of a DAF – preferred.
- Forklift license – preferred.
