Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components on manufacturing equipment.
- Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and automation teams to identify and resolve equipment deficiencies.
- Assist in electrical and automation improvement efforts throughout the plant.
- Complete predictive and preventative maintenance tasks, including equipment setup and adjustments.
- Communicate effectively with operators and quality technicians to diagnose and resolve production-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate with supervisors and managers as needed.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid electrical license or be able to obtain one within 60 days of employment.
- Proven track record of performing electrical maintenance and installations in accordance with NFPA 70 and 70E.
- Experience working with VFDs, PLCs, and manipulating machine functions via operator HMIs is an asset.
- Able to interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications to determine work and troubleshooting procedures.
- Experience with high-speed packaging machinery, robotic cells, and servo drives is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of industrial communication networks and troubleshooting is desired.
- Good working knowledge of pumps, conveyor systems, and pneumatics is desired.
- Candidates must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and possess a team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Must be able to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
