We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Summit Health Management. As an X-Ray Technologist, you will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for X-ray procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results and minimizing anxiety.
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper positioning and technique to produce high-quality images.
- Assess patients for potential risk factors and ensure proper identification and documentation of patient information.
- Clarify and follow doctor's orders, scanning necessary information in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Produce quality diagnostic images for interpretation, maintaining x-ray room cleanliness after exams and procedures.
- Adhere to infection control standards and demonstrate awareness of radiation safety procedures.
- Assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic procedures and obtain patient information/chart notes for fluoroscopy procedures.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years' experience in radiologic technology.
- Graduated from an accredited radiology program.
- Licensed by the New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies.
- BLS certification/IV certified preferred.
- Maintain current knowledge of RIS and PACS computer systems.
