As a Lead AI Risk Management Engineer, you will be responsible for developing systems for risk detection and mitigation utilizing a diverse array of technologies, including BloombergGPT and other large language models. You will have access to extensive high-quality data for training and evaluation, along with the support of experienced data, risk, and policy experts. Your role will involve leading efforts to characterize, assess, and mitigate emerging GenAI risks, particularly within the financial services sector, while promoting best practices and technologies throughout the organization.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with various teams across the organization to ensure adherence to best practices regarding GenAI risks.
  • Identify and analyze novel GenAI risks, developing innovative models and strategies for mitigation.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research in AI Safety and Alignment, integrating new insights into our methodologies.
  • Advocate for AI Safety best practices among application teams, assisting them in developing effective solutions.
We seek AI Risk Management Engineers with the following qualifications:
  • A Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant experience in AI Safety, AI Alignment, or AI Cybersecurity (5+ years post-Masters or 2+ years post-PhD).
  • A solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
