Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Strategist to lead our benefits programs and payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, including health and wellness programs, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support organizational goals, with a primary focus on benefits strategy. They will also oversee the implementation of process, procedures, and internal controls that ensure accurate, timely, and efficient payroll processing.

The position requires a minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years specializing in benefits administration. Experience managing benefits for a mid-sized organization (1,000+ employees) is preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP) is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals, with a primary focus on benefits strategy.
  • Oversee the implementation of process, procedures, and internal controls that ensure accurate, timely, and efficient payroll processing.
  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and voluntary benefits.
  • Ensure all benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations, conducting regular audits and updates as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years specializing in benefits administration.
  • Experience managing benefits for a mid-sized organization (1,000+ employees) is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP) is required.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Summit Utilities Inc offers competitive pay and medical/dental/vision and other benefits that provide flexibility, choice, and support to our employees when they need it most.
