About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Operations Manager to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, including health and wellness programs, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading benefits strategy, administration, and compliance, ensuring our offerings meet the needs of employees while aligning with the organization's goals. They will also support other HR functions, with a strong focus on benefits management as the primary responsibility.

The position requires a minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years specializing in benefits administration. Experience managing benefits for a mid-sized organization (1,000+ employees) is preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP) is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead benefits strategy, administration, and compliance, ensuring our offerings meet the needs of employees while aligning with the organization's goals.
  • Support other HR functions, with a strong focus on benefits management as the primary responsibility.
  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and voluntary benefits.
  • Oversee the implementation of process, procedures, and internal controls that ensure accurate, timely, and efficient payroll processing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years specializing in benefits administration.
  • Experience managing benefits for a mid-sized organization (1,000+ employees) is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP) is required.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $125,000 - $155,000 per year, depending on experience. Summit Utilities Inc offers competitive pay and medical/dental/vision and other benefits that provide flexibility, choice, and support to our employees when they need it most.
