Job Summary:

Compunnel is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the engineering organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of software and premier service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive software engineering best practices into operational spaces.
  • Lead and manage a 24/7 engineering organization with a focus on enabling automation.
  • Analyze complex issues in applications, databases, networks, and operating systems across distributed systems.
  • Manage system configuration through automation tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
  • Write clear, concise, and consumable documentation for team processes and procedures.
  • Support DevOps culture, tools, and processes for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce business systems or supply chain, warehouse management, transportation.
  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • 5+ years of experience with Scrum Agile methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver maintainable, understandable, and diagnosable solutions.
  • Proven ability to write clear and consumable documentation.
  • Track record of building and managing high-performance teams.
  • Extensive experience leading customer-facing systems in a high-uptime, 24/7 environment.
  • Expertise in analyzing complex issues in applications, databases, networks, and operating systems across distributed systems.
  • Experience with system configuration management using automation tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, and bash.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, processes, and culture.
  • High-level understanding of development methodologies and software lifecycle phases.
  • Proven experience in working collaboratively across functional areas to deliver results.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with various levels of management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-centered environment.
