Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Respond to service requests in a timely and efficient manner, providing excellent customer service to residents.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete tasks, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service requests and maintenance schedules.
- Participate in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and budgets.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in facilities management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Manager or other supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, often under time pressure to complete tasks. The position requires the ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and perform physical labor for extended periods. The Maintenance Technician must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to respond to emergency situations as needed.
