Job Summary

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Quality Improvement Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our quality management team, you will work closely with leadership to develop, implement, and monitor clinical and operational systems improvement projects that support our organization's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and prioritize quality improvement initiatives
  • Develop and implement systems analysis and performance optimization strategies
  • Provide expertise in risk reduction and accreditation compliance
  • Utilize quality management tools and methodology to analyze workflow processes and make recommendations for clinical operational systems improvements
  • Work as a change agent to achieve organizationally identified outcomes and enhance system performance

Requirements

  • State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • BSN required
  • MSN preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare environment and experience with interpretation and evaluation of accreditation standards is preferred
  • Five years or more of increasing responsibility in systems, quality, or healthcare administration
  • Demonstrated management ability and strong communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff and management
  • Previous experience with JC/regulatory agency preparation, coordination, education, and surveys for hospitals, physician office practices, home health care, and free-standing ambulatory surgery settings
  • Previous experience with electronic document management systems (desirable)
