About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Substance Abuse Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in substance abuse treatment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients and contribute to their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

- Obtain relevant information about clients through interview, assessment, and case history
- Assist and support clients through addiction detoxification and recovery
- Observe, intervene, and report client adherence to program goals and objectives
- Work in conjunction with other department staff to administer scheduled program curriculum and other activities utilized for treatment and rehabilitation of substance abuse

Requirements

- High School Diploma and two (2) years of work experience involving substance abuse, healthcare, law enforcement, emergency management, or corrections
- Valid New Mexico driver's license by employment date and maintain a valid NM driver's license while employed in this position
- Ability to work different shifts and program reassignments as needed
