Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex computed tomography (CT) procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and adhering to radiation safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including common and special CT exams, to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic or special procedures, including sterile technique, and provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients and family members.
  • Proactively assess, identify, and respond to patient needs for adjustment or intervention to optimize patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
  • Modify technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognize complications and limitations associated with certain procedures.
  • Follow safety standards and conduct all imaging procedures accordingly, using ALARA principles to protect patients, staff, and the general public.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below.
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) or temporary state licensure (CMRT-Temp).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
