About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at P&C Recruiting and HR. As a key member of our maintenance management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance and management of our underground mobile equipment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of underground mining operations and be able to lead a team of maintenance supervisors to deliver high-quality maintenance services. They will also be responsible for managing budgets, prioritizing tasks, and making decisions that impact the safety and efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of maintenance supervisors to ensure the effective maintenance and management of underground mobile equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of materials and labor.
  • Prioritize tasks and make decisions that impact the safety and efficiency of operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or technical/vocational certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in underground mobile equipment maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions that impact the safety and efficiency of operations.
  • Knowledge of maintenance work management processes and procedures.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal training in equipment reliability engineering and maintenance work management processes.
  • Familiarity with IFS business system.
  • Previous experience working in an underground mining environment.
