Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to the Principal Investigator (PI) and contribute scientific input in the field of low-level blast environment characterization. Responsibilities include participating in all aspects of research, including study design and oversight, data collection, management, processing, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will also establish and maintain relationships with volunteer cohort leadership and other collaborators, serve as a liaison between research output and stakeholders, and manage human subjects protocol documentation and regulatory files.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related field, with relevant work experience (PhD preferred)
  • Experience using SAS, SPSS, Matlab, C, C+, C++, Java, or other programming/statistical languages
  • Able to obtain Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) clearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Desirable qualifications include experience in a blast research setting, military experience, excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, strong leadership/management skills, ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate daily activities
