Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Tech II Float to join our team at South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and update knowledge of innovative techniques and equipment in medical sonography to ensure optimal patient care.
- Assist physicians in performing ultrasound-guided biopsies and other invasive procedures, demonstrating a strong understanding of patient safety and infection control protocols.
- Provide exceptional patient care, adapting to the needs of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Utilize the Radiology Computer System to schedule exams, track patient information, and capture charges, ensuring accurate and efficient workflow.
- Follow established safety policies and procedures, recognizing potential crisis situations and taking proactive measures to prevent further complications.
- Education: Successful completion of a training program in ultrasonography, radiologic technology, or vascular technology, or an associate's degree or higher in a related field.
- Current employees: Successful completion of a training program in ultrasonography, radiologic technology, or vascular technology, or an associate's degree or higher in a related field.
- Experience: None required, but two years of experience as a full-time ultrasound technologist in a hospital or diagnostic imaging clinic setting is preferred.
- Licensure: Must have and maintain one of the following certifications: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RVS).
