Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed dentist, the Dental Assistant is responsible for preparing patients for treatment, sterilizing instruments, and assisting with various dental procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and guidelines
  • Assist dentists during procedures, including preparing instruments and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner
  • Document patient information and treatment records accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest dental techniques and technologies

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience as a dental assistant or related field preferred
  • Valid X-ray certification and CPR/first aid certification required
  • Licensure (CDA, RDA, EFDA) may be required in certain states
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
