- Answer patient questions, relay critical information, and escalate issues as needed.
- Complete accurate and timely medical and legal documentation.
- Administer medications to patients in a safe and controlled manner.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through ongoing education and professional development.
- Coordinate day-to-day clinical tasks to ensure efficient operation of the department.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- 2 years of LPN experience or 1 year of LPN experience with 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience in ambulatory care.
The physical demands of this role include frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects, and occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent works in a patient care area, works in an area where patients enter, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain diseases.
