Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of clinical pharmacists in the ambulatory setting, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care and services.
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services and programs to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of ambulatory care pharmacy.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and manage budgets, staffing, and resources to ensure efficient and effective operation of the clinical pharmacy services.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical pharmacy practices, guidelines, and research to ensure the team is providing the best possible care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Board certification in a specialty area (e.g., BCACP, BCPS) and/or certification in an ambulatory-related clinical specialty (e.g., CACP).
  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical pharmacy practice, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
