Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general repairs.
  • Complete work orders efficiently and effectively, following logical steps to ensure quality results.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, performing cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Review work orders before starting a task to ensure all necessary materials and tools are available.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and the proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • May be required to cover general cleaning and custodial tasks, as well as snow removal as needed.

Administration and Procedures

  • Prioritize work to complete time-sensitive tasks first.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to determine the best course of action for resolving issues.
  • Communicate delays or emergency reassignments to supervisors as needed.
  • Identify potential problems in the facility and report them to supervisors promptly.
  • Work independently in the field, remaining focused on assigned tasks and priorities.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely lift 50-pound items and equipment.
  • Position requires standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • Vaccination required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of general maintenance experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other related trades.
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with others.
