Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at the Bowery Residents Committee. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work
* Maintain light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and other equipment
* Repair and replace sheetrock, plaster, and paint walls, as well as ceiling and floor tiles
* Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of maintenance and office supplies
* Participate in preparation for facility inspections and fire drills
* Maintain the cleanliness of interior and exterior facilities, including trash removal, power washing, and snow removal

Requirements

* Minimum of three years of consecutive experience in building maintenance
* Experience in skills such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work
* Trade school or training certifications a plus
