Job Summary
Rocketship Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide individual and small group instruction for students with special and typical learning needs in the general education environment.

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a certificated Education Specialist who will provide weekly oversight, training, and direction. You will report to an Assistant Principal and be responsible for implementing individual and small group instruction for students with special education needs. You will also collaborate with students' case managers to assess student progress towards goals on a consistent basis and communicate student progress with case managers and general education teachers. Additionally, you will implement behavior management strategies during small group and individual instruction to support student engagement and support the implementation of behavior intervention plans developed by students' case managers.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement individual and small group instruction for students with special education needs under the direction of the special education case manager
- Collaborate with students' case managers to assess student progress towards goals on a consistent basis and communicate student progress with case managers and general education teachers
- Implement behavior management strategies during small group and individual instruction to support student engagement
- Support the implementation of behavior intervention plans developed by students' case managers

Requirements
- A team player who is detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage his/her responsibility with confidence and discretion
- Comfort in a start-up environment with flexibility
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
- Passion for working with young children
- At least 2 years of college or passing score on Rocketship's Paraprofessional Assessment required
- Experience working with students with disabilities desired

Salary Range
$19 - $23.50 per hour
