Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach in our Medical Assisting program at South Puget Sound Community College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Medical Assisting and the ability to create engaging and effective learning experiences for students.
**Responsibilities:*** Teach courses in Medical Assisting and create and facilitate contextualized and integrated learning experiences* Assess student knowledge and skills and participate in student retention efforts* Contribute to the college's mission by creating a work environment of mutual respect and fairness* Participate in the development of our Medical Assisting program and make a positive impact on the lives of our students
Requirements:* Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting with current National certification as a Certified Medical Assistant and an MA-C credential from the Washington State Department of Health* Three years of experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant* Demonstrated experience or participation with persons from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to an inclusive and equitable working/learning environment
