Position Overview

Salary:

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Youth Ministry Director is tasked with the comprehensive leadership, guidance, and implementation of the Mission Point Student Ministries, catering to grades 7 through 12.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Student Ministry Leadership

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for Mission Point Student Ministries.
  • Foster relationships with students through consistent engagement at events and activities.
  • Collaborate with parents, empowering them to be the primary spiritual mentors for their children.
  • Encourage students to actively live out their faith and demonstrate the love of Jesus in their daily environments.
  • Plan and oversee all weekly meetings, events, retreats, summer programs, and mission initiatives for both middle and high school students.
  • Recruit, train, and support the volunteer team for MP Student Ministries.
  • Ensure all volunteers have completed necessary applications and background checks prior to service.
  • Identify and partner with local student advocacy organizations and community stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local school officials and establish a presence on school campuses.
  • Maintain ongoing communication through the MP Students website, digital channels, and social media platforms.
  • Manage and oversee the budget for the Student Ministry.
  • Facilitate the integration of college students into the church community.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • A demonstrable and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Commitment to being an active participant in the Mission Point Church community.
  • A strong sense of calling and passion for serving within the local church context.
  • Full agreement with Mission Point's Statements of Faith and standards of Biblical Morality and Conduct.
  • A desire to disciple and mentor young people.
  • A clear commitment to a long-term career in student ministry.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to implementation.
  • Proven skills in discipleship and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in organizational and administrative tasks, along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to leveraging personal strengths while developing areas for improvement within the student demographic.
  • Experience in volunteer management.
  • A college degree in youth ministry or seminary studies.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a comparable or larger student ministry setting.

POSITION REPORTING

The Youth Ministry Director will report directly to the Executive Pastor.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS

This is a full-time position.
