Work Environment: Involves prolonged computer use and physical activity for inventory management, including moving boxes and organizing supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
- Comply with all relevant USDA, CACFP, and SFSP policies and regulations.
- Conduct daily inventory checks of food stock, monitoring expiration dates and implementing a first-in, first-out system.
- Submit daily food quantity requirements, weekly meal needs, and current inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the Food Program Manager to determine appropriate food quantities.
- Complete and submit all necessary documentation to branch staff accurately.
- Maintain effective communication with the Program Director and Food Program Manager regarding operational issues and food distribution changes.
- Develop and implement new food programs and distribution initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to the established menu and keep updated menus accessible on-site.
- Maintain accurate attendance and records for CACFP and SFSP, ensuring timely submission.
- Oversee daily operations of the on-site food pantry, including inventory management and timely paperwork submission.
- Follow uniform and personal hygiene standards.
- Embrace and demonstrate the core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
- Certifications required within 45 days of employment: CPR/AED, BBP, and First Aid.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities with effective management skills.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with standard business software.
- Able to connect with diverse community groups across various social and economic backgrounds.
- A clear criminal background check is mandatory.

Monday - Thursday: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM AND 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
During the Summer:
Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM AND 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Occasional Saturday shifts may be required.
