Job Overview

Car Capital Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Data Science to lead the development of advanced statistical models and credit policy frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement statistical models to assess the impact of proposed credit policy changes, providing recommendations to senior management.
  • Enhance existing credit policy frameworks by applying statistical analysis techniques, including machine learning methods and decision trees.
  • Lead the development of key statistical modeling initiatives, including credit scorecards, cash flow forecasting models, and collateral valuation models.
  • Monitor application trends to identify areas of opportunity and risk, and manage changes to credit policy through internal decision engine change control and deployment processes.
  • Build monitoring and tracking reports to assess the effectiveness of model expectations relative to actual performance.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of risk management projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in statistical model development, with a strong background in machine learning and data analysis.
  • Expert-level technical experience with statistical software tools, including R, Python, and SAS.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to independently build datasets for advanced analysis and modeling exercises.
  • Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build clear technical model implementation specifications.
