Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Superintendent to join our team at Metromont. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the erection of precast concrete structures and ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with the general contractor, other trades, and Metromont's production and haul departments to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process.
  • Site Management: Confirm that the site is prepared and ready for construction, including access, trailer storage, crane pads, and survey of embed plates.
  • Quality Control: Monitor compliance with Metromont's Standard Erection Agreement and all jobsite specific requirements, ensuring that the erected structure is within acceptable tolerances.
  • Safety Management: Monitor and confirm that the erector is conducting weekly Tool Box Talks and submitting them to Metromont, and address any safety deficiencies.
  • Communication: Document all meetings and phone conversations in written format, and submit weekly Erection Tracking Reports and Deficiencies / Issues Logs.
  • Problem-Solving: Develop and implement solutions to resolve any issues or deficiencies that arise during the construction process.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in construction science, construction management, or concrete construction.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in the construction industry in general contracting, precast plant operations, engineering, or other related fields.
  • Skills: Microsoft Office, project management software (Procore, Helix, Prolog, etc), and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
