Key Responsibilities:
Manage the planning process to minimize costs, enhance processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is accountable for maximizing customer service levels while optimizing finished goods inventory and manufacturing resources to boost productivity.
The Production Control Manager will collaborate with senior management and production teams to achieve optimal service levels, actively participating in critical business decisions regarding:staffing, demand strategies, inventory management, finished goods levels, and productivity objectives.
Essential Duties:
Oversee staff management and development, including assigning tasks, evaluating performance, hiring, training, and retention.
Guarantee that new products and processes are adequately prepared for production readiness.
Develop and lead the planning team to focus on departmental and corporate objectives, demonstrating urgency in addressing expedited requirements and reprioritization, while showcasing ownership and accountability at the individual level.
The individual must effectively drive closure on challenging projects with limited support, influence others to make sound decisions, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Develop and maintain countermeasures to address root causes for backordered products.Establish and monitor departmental metrics, analyze results, and identify trends. Guide the team towards appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
Engage manufacturing teams in the continuous improvement process to ensure timely and effective identification, prioritization, and implementation of projects.
Mentor and promote lean manufacturing practices.Assess and manage potential production shortages by analyzing build schedules, shortage reports, inventory reports, and supplier delivery information. Foster communication with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Shipping, and Customer Service to balance supply and demand.
Encourage a culture of safety and environmental health.Facilitate individual development within the team.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to independently manage complex projects or assignments with minimal guidance.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and prior experience in a medical manufacturing environment is advantageous.Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in computer use, with working knowledge of SAP being a plus.Experience with low volume, high complexity capital equipment or high volume, low complexity products.
Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment and mobilize cross-functional high-performance teams.Effectively delegate tasks, responsibilities, and authority.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including team development, goal setting, and performance evaluation. Additional Information:Due to the nature of our business, proof of vaccination against certain diseases, including COVID-19, may be required.
