Transformative Opportunity in Pediatric Pulmonology

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU is seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Pulmonology Specialist to join our esteemed team. As a key member of our academic unit, you will contribute to the excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research in pediatric pulmonology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a practice in Pediatric Pulmonology, providing exceptional care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Engage in teaching and mentorship of Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows in the area of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine.
• Participate in research activities, with support for these endeavors based on prior accomplishments and potential.
• Serve on departmental or School of Medicine committees, as well as in a professional capacity in your field.

Requirements:
• Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology.
• Training in Pediatric Pulmonology.
• Experience in clinical care of patients from birth to 21 years old.
• Experience in education of house staff, medical students, and others.
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in an academic medical center.
• Research focus and/or external funding.
• Demonstrated excellent teaching skills.
