Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Echocardiography Specialist to join our team at VCU Health. As a key member of our pediatric cardiology team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms on a range of pediatric cardiology patients. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our young patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms on pediatric cardiology patients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care
  • Assist in the education and mentorship of students and other learners in the pediatric echocardiography lab
  • Participate in quality improvement processes and continuous assessment of performance
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of an Allied Health Education Program or a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program
  • Current Pediatric Echocardiography or Congenital Cardiac Sonography credential
  • Ability to obtain vitals and other pertinent information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to perform fetal echocardiography
  • 5 years' experience in pediatric echocardiography lab
