Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Tech I plays a vital role in the operating room team, ensuring the preparation of sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures. This individual must demonstrate knowledge and skills required to provide care and service appropriate to the level of development of patients, with consideration of the needs of patients' families.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, follows established procedural guides in the preparation of sterile supplies and equipment.
  • Performs appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care.
  • Functions autonomously as a member of the operating room team.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology or surgical technology military program.
  • At least two years of work experience as a Certified Surgical Tech required.
