Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Department: Gynecology Clinic

Shift: Full-Time Days; including rotating weekends

Primary Responsibilities:

The LVN is a licensed professional who plays a crucial role in the delivery of patient care. Utilizing the nursing process, the LVN assesses patients, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient responses. The LVN collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure smooth transitions through the healthcare system, minimizing complications and delays.

Job Summary:
  • Deliver care to assigned patient populations in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and established protocols.
  • Conduct continuous assessments and collaborate with team members to provide patient-centered care.
  • Exercise independent judgment in nursing care delivery.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
  • Provide guidance to non-nursing staff and serve as a preceptor.
  • Prepare and conduct educational programs as needed.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in patient care records.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • ASN or BSN Degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Current/Valid State of TX LVN license or equivalent.
  • Two years of relevant nursing experience within the last three years.
Certifications:
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
