We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Services Operations Manager to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the operational needs of our Housekeeping Department.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and Maintain Operational Standards: Develop and annually review standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Workforce Planning and Scheduling: Plan work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered, and areas of work are properly allocated.
- Staff Development and Supervision: Assist in the hiring process, interview, hire, and train new associates, as well as orient, develop, and supervise all supervisory/housekeeping staff.
- Quality Assurance and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections, make recommendations to the facility, and provide monthly reporting of goals, accomplishments, and future plans.
- Staff Education and Training: Provide ongoing education and training to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with staff, administration, and other departments, and coordinate outside services as needed.
- Education and Experience: A four-year college degree, military experience, or equivalent work experience is required. At least one year of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a service-related field with high customer/client contact is also required.
- Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated progressive growth in the field of health care housekeeping or facility maintenance is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations, multi-task, and establish priorities is essential.
- Military Transferrable Skills: Non-Commissioned Officer E4+ with experience in planning, developing, and directing logistics, or experience supervising a group of soldiers of 15 or more, is highly valued.
