Respiratory Care Supervisor Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Supervisor is a critical role in the Pediatric Respiratory Care department at Providence Alaska Medical Center. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a compassionate and ethical manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of respiratory therapists to deliver patient care in a pediatric setting.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and department performance.

Requirements:

  • National Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification or National Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification.
  • 5 years of recent experience in respiratory care, with 2 years in a pediatric setting.
  • Associate's degree in respiratory care or related field.
  • 2 years of previous supervisory experience in respiratory care.
